Public speaking workshop for companies, through applied improvisation

facilitated by Bogdan Grigore · founder & lead facilitator Improvizatie.ro

We train presence, voice, pause and above all spontaneity: what you do when you lose your thread, the projector fails or you get the surprise question. The stage does not forgive, but it can teach you to enjoy it. Facilitated by Bogdan Grigore, since 2008.

What it is NOT

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to be funny at this workshop?

No. The aim is presence and response to the unexpected, not humour. Some exercises produce laughter as a side effect, but no one is judged on how funny they are.

How long until I get rid of nerves when speaking in public?

The nerves do not disappear, but your response to them changes. After a single session, most participants notice that a blank mind or a surprise question no longer blocks them as much. The effect builds with repeated practice.

Is it for beginners or advanced speakers?

Both. Beginners work on basic presence, advanced speakers on responding to what cannot be prepared in advance: the projector that fails, the question you cannot answer, the silent audience.

Does it work for online presentations, not just face to face?

Yes. Voice and pause matter just as much online, and the exercises for responding to the unexpected adapt easily to the webcam format.

What do I do if I lose my thread during a presentation?

That is exactly what we train: the reflex to use the pause, not fill it with panic, and to build on the last thing you said instead of trying to force your way back to the plan.

How large can the group be?

The reference group is up to 12 people, so everyone practises in front of the others. For larger groups, sessions are combined or repeated.
